Which I get from a security standpoint, and it would be fine if you could just do it with biometrics/passkey, but you can't. The most efficient login method offered is singing in through 3rd party logins like Google, which makes no sense to require every time you open an app. The app is on your phone, your account is on your phone, so more steps but not more security.
